In a fast-paced contemporary world, ZIGGY CHEN presents a moment of pause—suspended in time, reflective, and deeply poetic.

Ziggy Chen's runway shows are known for emphasizing a harmonious relationship between heritage and modernity, reflecting a vested interest in history, architecture, and cultural fusion. Titled VOLEISURE (Volition and Leisure) his AW’25 show in Paris evoked a serene, introspective atmosphere, aligning with his ethos of slowing down in a fast-paced world.

Ziggy Chen's fashion shows are known for their avant-garde approach, blending Eastern and Western influences with a focus on timeless design and artisanal craftsmanship. All of which can be seen in the earthy palette combined with whimsical fabrics and silhouettes. What the viewer bears witness to is a romanticizing of the human body. Natural fibers such as wool, linen, cashmere and cotton were utilised, enhancing wearability and affinities for organic living.

Celebrated for its philosophical and poetic storytelling, VOLEISURE brought textured layers, muted tones, and deconstructed silhouettes to the Parisian runway, creating a sense of quiet elegance and contemplative minimalism.

In harmony with the poetic romanticism of the collection, the runway transformed into a cinematic experience as models were accompanied by the soulful melodies of a live saxophonist. They glided gracefully down the catwalk, exuding an air of understated elegance while enveloped in layers of oversized blazers, cozy mittens, voluminous hoods, and flowing scarves. The tactile richness of the garments, paired with the atmospheric soundscape, created a sensory journey that blurred the lines between fashion, art and emotion.
