INFDark | London Fashion Week AW25

INFDark showcased its newest collection ahead of the AW25 season at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, London. Entitled Raven, the collection was designed with the creature keenly in mind, highlighting its flight path from ancient mythology to contemporary culture. Known to represent a fluctuating boundary between mystery and wisdom, the collection reflects a reinterpretation of this otherwise darkly-connotated figure. Thus showing that fashion is but another medium, much like the paintbrush, or written story, breaking down the wall between creator and viewer.
The collection sections up and breaks down each element of the creature, showcasing its very parts are what make it significant - separately, then recombined. Each garment represents a separation of the fowl’s parts, flowing feathers buffet against rigid skeletal structures as these bird-like inspirations permeate the collection’s offerings. In particular the collection aims to highlight the symbolism of the raven as it permeates “myths of the Taiwanese Aboriginal people– Rukai– as well as Nordic and Greek cultures”.
INFDark showcases a series of works which are resultant of the ebb and flow of culture, and understandings of what fashion is meant to incite. Expressing that the things which may prompt wariness in us, can actually be what proves our ability to strive forward, to innovate, to thrive.
